Description

The patchouli (Pogostemon Cablin (Blanco). Benth) is a plant from the genus Pogostemon. It’s also known as patchouly/pachouli and is a bushy herb in the mint family. The plant has small. pale pink-white flowers and is native to the tropical regions of Asia. The young leaves of patchouli oil are extracted by steam distillation. This extract yields 2 to 3 percent. The oil becomes more complex with age. and it has a fuller. richer odor.
